Stephen M. Koppekin is a longtime professional in the entertainment industry. As a specialist in labor and employment issues, Stephen has always been passionate about representing individuals and groups, especially those who have been marginalized. That’s why Stephen is also active in a number of charitable organizations in Los Angeles, California, where he runs his consulting firm Koppekin Consulting, Inc.
Stephen M. Koppekin is a longtime member of the Anti-Defamation League, a premier nonprofit civil rights/human relations agency which fights anti-Semitism and all others forms of bigotry. He is also active in his local California chapter of the Jewish Federations of North America, and he’s previously supported Los Angeles Jewish Home. Stephen regularly attends his local temple as well and is active within the community there.
A strong believer in the power of laughter, Stephen is a proud member of The Valley Jesters in San Fernando, California. The Valley Jesters is a charitable organization focusing on the Junior Blind of America and other youth-centric philanthropic efforts. The Valley Jesters encourage social meetups that provide humorous entertainment, and they regularly hold golf outings and other events. The proceeds from these events are donated to local charities. Stephen is currently a Crown Prince of the Valley Jesters and is steadily working his way up the monarchy!
Since Stephen M. Koppekin has a long history in the entertainment industry, it comes as no surprise that he’s involved serving on the Heartbeat of Hollywood Golf Event Committee. Every year Stephen participates in the Annual Heartbeat of Hollywood Golf Classic, a tournament which raises money for the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF). The tournament raises about half a million dollars every year, and proceeds are disbursed across the MPTF’s efforts to provide companionship, entertainment, and assistance (such as assisted living facility placement) for entertainment industry members.
As one who donates to the Heartbeat of Hollywood Golf Classic, Stephen Koppekin is proud to support the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s promise to “take care of our own.” It’s a fulfilling way for Stephen to support members of the entertainment industry and make sure they get the treatment that they deserve– a goal that he has stuck to over the course of his entire professional career.
Stephen also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and attending sporting events with them.
